The size and quality of Hand Forged Steel Balls to be used depends upon:
- Size and type of mill<
- Physical characteristics of the material to be ground
- Size of finished product required
Grinding balls are available in sizes from 19mm to 150mm diameter, In the 'As Forged' Condition Brinell hardness 260/310.
'Heat treated' condition 19mm to 65mm Hardness up to 700 Brinell, 70mm to 100mm Hardness 400/500 Brinell,
Typical analysis : Car. 07/.09% Mn .07/.09%.
Carbon Chrome En 31: 25mm to 150mm Hardness 300/400 Brinell,
Typical analysis: Car 90/1.20% Mn. 30/75 Chr. 90/1.6%.
